Setting up your own custom domain on Owlstown has 3 steps.
    1.
    Buy your custom domain.
    2.
Point your custom domain to hosting.owlstown.com
    3.
Enter your custom domain on Owlstown.

1. Buy your custom domain.

If you already have your own custom domain, you can skip this part and head to step 2.
We recommend getting a domain name from Namecheap or Google Domains. Their user interfaces are easy to use and they don’t try to upsell you as much as other domain name registrars.

2. Point your custom domain to hosting.owlstown.com

Follow the instructions based on where you bought your custom domain. For the instructions below, we will use an example domain name: www.example.com.

Google Domains

Go to your Google Domains dashboard and select your custom domain.
Select the DNS settings section.
Scroll to the bottom to the Custom Resource Records panel and enter the following: Subdomain: www Type: CNAME Domain name: hosting.owlstown.com
Press the Add button.

Forward root domain to www subdomain

Forward root domain to www subdomain, so that when people visit https://example.com, they are automatically sent to https://www.example.com.
Go to the Synthetic records panel. It's on the DNS settings section right above the Custom resource records panel. Enter the following: Subdomain: @ Destination URL: www.example.com
Press the Add button.
You can safely ignore the error message: "This synthetic record has an error and will not function correctly..."

3. Enter your custom domain on Owlstown.
